The Inaugural Pair
Elizabeth received her new AFO's and loves them. I noticed the pattern on another girls AFO's in a clinic I work in and I had her Orthotist hunt down for the pattern. As her Orthotist has a soft spot for Elizabeth he searched and made their first pair of lady bug AFO's. When we picked them up the Orthotist had her show them off to the staff in the workshop and all Elizabeth could say was 'Gord your workshop smells something awful' (the smell of the glues are pretty bad). Everyone keeps commenting on how cool her new AFO's are and I agree as well and if you look close you can see she actually has sandals that fit over them which totally makes my day.

Wow they are cute! It's so nice she is happy to wear them Ashley hates hers and it developed into hating shoes for awhile there too. I now have her back in her Nike running shoes but i need to try her out in the AFOs again soon too.
Those ROCK! What a cool way to spice up AFO's!
Those are adorable! I'm so glad that there's been more of an effort to meld fun with functional in kids' equipment.
I am sitting here laughing about Elizabeth's comment!!! Those have to be the cutest AFO's I have ever seen. Max's has trucks on them, he's such a...boy.
:)
How cute!!!! and funny about her telling him the workshop smelled something awful, kids say the funniest things!
I saw this type of design on another kid once and asked Hannah's orthotist if she could do those for Hannah but she said she couldn't. I'm going to have to revisit this because they are SUPER cool! Love the sandals, too: what brand?
